Arsenal brushed a struggling Everton side aside 5-2 at Goodison Park earlier today to heap further pressure on Toffees boss Ronald Koeman. Let’s see how the players rated …
Conceded five and was still probably one of his teams’ better performers, which tells you everything you need to know about this Everton team at the moment.
Can’t fault him for effort, but nowhere near the level of performance he was capable of putting in a few seasons ago.
He has played worse this season. Still though, looks a shadow of the impressive player he was with Burnley last season.
Has gone from being such a consistent Premier League performer to being a liability. Hooked at half-time.
Sent off. Was Everton’s best player in first-half. He really should have known better than to dive in on Xhaka for his second yellow.
A decent combatitive performance. Had his work cut out up against Sanchez, but stuck to his task well.
Worked hard, but is really struggling to find his role in this Everton side.
Looked really dangerous with the ball at his feet in first-half. Faded as the game went on though.
Sublime curling finish for his side’s opener. Lost possession a lot more than a player of his experience should be doing in general play however.
Not for the first time this season, he made himself a real handful for the opposition back four. Such a pity he gets such little support from his team-mates.
Brought extra energy to his side’s midfield, but sloppy in possession.
His pace gave Everton an extra spark going forward in the closing stages.
Got himself a consolation tap-in.
Looked uncomfortable on the ball all day and that was summed up by his howler for Niasse’s goal late in the game.
Excellent. Won the majority of his duels and as so often, when he plays well, Arsenal got the result they wanted.
A decent display by the Big Friendly German.
Great reactions for Arsenal’s equaliser, but really poor back pass for Everton’s second goal.
Attacked well from right-wing back, decision making left him down when in good positions however.
Solid. Covered a huge amount of distance on the left flank.
Ramsey 8 ( MOTM )
A constant menace with his runs forward. Got the goal that his work-rate deserved and a beautiful flicked assist for Sanchez goal.
A good passer of the ball, but lost the ball in the build up for Rooney’s opener, that’s the fifth time this season that has happened, which is nowhere near good enough.
So often criticised and rightly so, but today the Germany international made decisive contributions for his team. Got the important second goal and a nice assist for Lacazette.
Nowhere near his best, but kept probing right until the death and finished his goal brilliantly.
Good movement and tidy finish for Arsenal’s third goal.
On just long enough to get himself booked.
A decent cameo. Laid on an assist for Ramsey’s goal and passed the ball well.
