Premier League team of the week

After another exciting weekend of Premier League action let’s see who makes our team of the week …

Goalkeeper: Tom Heaton

Won his battle with Harry Kane pulling off a string excellent stops which kept his team in the game long enough for them to find a equaliser.

Right-Back: Allan Nyom

Cameroon International Nyom gave Stoke’s big-name signing Jese a taste of what Premier League football is all about this weekend. The big defender didn’t give the talented Spaniard a sniff and put in a beautiful cross for his side’s goal.

Centre-Back: Eric Bailly

Another beast like performance from the Ivorian, rarely is Jamie Vardy placed in a defender’s pocket with such ease.

Centre-Back: Harry Maguire

Celebrated his call-up to the England squad with a quality display at Old Trafford. Defending was rock solid and carried the ball out from the back with aplomb.

Left-back: Alberto Moreno

The much maligned left-back put in a surprisingly solid display against Arsenal, making a game high six tackles.

Right-midfield: Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian’s blistering pace and intelligent movement was too much for Arsenal to handle, capped off a fine performance with a clinical finish and a classy assist.

Central midfield : Cesc Fabregas

The hugely talented play-maker was at his creative best creating numerous chances for his side with his sublime range of passing as well as notching his first goal of the season.

Central midfield: Emre Can

The Germany international’s best ever display in a red shirt, putting in a superb all-round midfield display. Might stop me laughing the next time I hear Juventus want to sign him, but not quite.

Left-wing: Willian

Electric in Chelsea’s victory over Everton, such a dangerous player with the ball at his feet.

Centre-forward: Chris Wood

Came off the bench to score a debut goal as his side recorded a impressive 1-1 draw against Spurs. Showed plenty in his 33 minute cameo to suggest he can make a impact at this level.

Centre-forward: Alvaro Morata

Scored a goal and provided the assist for fellow Spaniard Cesc Fabregas, looked sharp throughout.
